ultimateimp – Philips has introduced the Evnia 34M2C8600P, a new 34-inch curved ultrawide gaming monitor equipped with a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel. The monitor combines a 3440 × 1440 resolution with a 280Hz refresh rate, offering a significant upgrade over its predecessor.
The display uses a 21:9 aspect ratio and an 1800R curvature. Its 280Hz refresh rate is considerably higher than the 175Hz refresh rate offered by the previous Evnia 34M2C8600. Philips launched the earlier model more than three years ago.

The newer QD-OLED panel reportedly uses an RGB V-Stripe subpixel arrangement and a five-layer Penta Tandem structure. Philips says this design can improve text clarity while reducing color fringing, which remains a consideration for OLED monitors used for productivity.
The Evnia 34M2C8600P also offers a 0.03ms GtG response time and 10-bit color support. The monitor covers 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Philips Adds High-Bandwidth Connectivity and Ambient Lighting
The monitor features an anti-reflection coating and can reportedly reach up to 1,300 nits of peak HDR brightness. These specifications are designed to provide brighter highlights while maintaining the deep blacks associated with OLED technology.
Connectivity is another major feature of the Evnia 34M2C8600P. Philips equips the monitor with two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode. The USB-C connection can also provide up to 90W of power delivery for compatible laptops and other devices.
The monitor includes an integrated USB hub, KVM switch and MultiView functionality. The KVM feature allows users to control multiple connected systems with a single keyboard and mouse, while MultiView can display content from different sources simultaneously.
Philips has also equipped the monitor with AI-enhanced Ambiglow lighting. Its AmbiScape feature can synchronize the monitor’s lighting with up to 10 Matter-certified smart lights, allowing users to create a more immersive gaming environment.

Evnia 34M2C8600P Launches in October 2026
Philips plans to make the Evnia 34M2C8600P available through European retailers in October 2026. The monitor has reportedly been priced at £779 in the UK, while European pricing is expected to be around €999.
However, Philips has not definitively confirmed the €999 price. The company has also yet to reveal pricing or availability for the US market.
With its 280Hz refresh rate, fifth-generation QD-OLED panel and 1,300-nit HDR peak brightness, the Evnia 34M2C8600P targets gamers looking for an ultrawide display with high-end specifications.
