Ayaneo Reveals Indigo Version of Konkr Pocket Advance
When Ayaneo first teased the Konkr Pocket Advance. The handheld appeared in a bright orange finish inspired by the Japan-exclusive Orange Game Boy Advance.
The company has now unveiled a second color option resembling the classic Indigo version of Nintendo’s original handheld. The new images, shared exclusively with RetroDodo. Show the device featuring mostly white face buttons, while several buttons along the top edge match the indigo-colored shell.
The rear design is also visible for the first time. It features a curved, ribbed back intended to improve grip during extended gaming sessions, along with integrated ventilation to aid cooling.
Additional hardware shown includes stereo speakers, a volume wheel, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port for charging and data transfer.
Together, these details reinforce Ayaneo’s strategy of blending nostalgic design cues with the conveniences expected from a modern handheld gaming system.
Shoulder Buttons and Additional Controls Come Into View
Ayaneo also shared another teaser image through its official X account, revealing the layout of the handheld’s top-mounted controls.
The Konkr Pocket Advance features large L1 and R1 shoulder buttons designed for comfortable gameplay. Unlike many modern handhelds, however, the secondary L2 and R2 triggers are noticeably smaller and positioned inline rather than stacked above one another.
A button labeled “LC” is located beneath the L2 trigger. Its placement closely resembles the LC function button found on the Ayaneo Pocket Micro 2, suggesting there will likely be a matching “RC” button on the opposite side of the device.
Another white button positioned beside the R2 trigger is also visible, though Ayaneo has yet to reveal its function.
Despite gradually unveiling the exterior design, the company continues to keep the Konkr Pocket Advance’s specifications a secret. Key details such as the processor, display resolution, battery capacity, memory, storage, and operating system have not yet been announced.
Ayaneo is expected to continue revealing additional information through teaser campaigns leading up to the handheld’s official debut.
At present, neither the launch date nor pricing for the Konkr Pocket Advance has been confirmed, though more details are expected as the release approaches.
