HMD Touch AI Brings Lumia-Inspired Design to a Modern Feature Phone
According to HMD, the Touch AI takes inspiration from Nokia’s iconic Lumia smartphone series. Featuring a colorful cyan finish and a circular rear camera module reminiscent of the classic Lumia design language.
The phone closely resembles the HMD Touch 4G that debuted in India in October 2025. But adds AI capabilities aimed at enhancing everyday use.
Users interact with the device through a 3.2-inch touchscreen. Giving it a smartphone-like experience while retaining the simplicity and efficiency of a feature phone.
The handset includes 2-megapixel cameras on both the front and rear for basic photography and video calling. Power is supplied by a 1,950mAh battery that supports charging through a modern USB Type-C connector.
HMD also offers optional interchangeable rear covers in yellow, blue, and white, allowing users to customize the appearance of the device. These accessories are sold separately.
AI Features, 4G Connectivity, and Mobile Payments Included
Although categorized as a feature phone, the HMD Touch AI includes several connectivity options commonly found on smartphones.
The device supports dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi connectivity, and hotspot functionality. Allowing users to share their mobile internet connection with other devices.
A customizable physical button located on the top of the handset can be assigned to various shortcuts. Including activating an SOS emergency alert for added personal safety.
One of the phone’s biggest highlights is its integration with ByteDance’s Doubao AI model. The built-in AI assistant supports several intelligent functions, including Chinese-to-English translation, text-to-image generation, and other AI-powered tasks.
The HMD Touch AI also supports Alipay, enabling users in China to make mobile payments directly from the handset without requiring a conventional smartphone.
HMD has not yet disclosed additional specifications such as the processor, memory configuration, storage capacity, or operating system powering the device.
