Abxylute Launches M5 and M6 Mobile Gamepads

ultimateimp – Abxylute is expanding its magnetic controller lineup with two new smartphone accessories. The upcoming Abxylute M5 and M6 are designed for horizontal gaming when attached to compatible smartphones.

The new controllers follow the Abxylute M4, which debuted in November 2025. At the time, Abxylute described the M4 as the first product in a new family of mobile controllers. The company is now preparing to expand that range with two additional models.

Abxylute plans to launch the M5 and M6 through Kickstarter. The company previously used the crowdfunding platform to introduce the M4. However, Abxylute has not yet announced when the new crowdfunding campaign will begin.

Information about the upcoming controllers remains limited. The Kickstarter page currently shows an image of the M6, while Abxylute has not revealed the M5’s design. Based on the available information, both controllers appear to target landscape-oriented smartphone gaming.

The M6 provides the clearest look at Abxylute’s next-generation design. It features a magnetic attachment system that connects the controller to a compatible smartphone. This approach allows users to keep the phone and controller together during gaming sessions.

The M6 also incorporates a sliding mechanism that reveals the physical controls. When extended, the controller provides a D-pad, two symmetrical thumbsticks and ABXY buttons. The buttons use an Xbox-style arrangement familiar to many console and PC gamers.

The controller also includes in-line triggers for games requiring additional inputs. Abxylute has equipped the M6 with detachable magnetic grips as well. These components are designed to provide additional support while playing games in landscape orientation.

The company has not disclosed complete technical specifications for the M6. Details regarding battery capacity, connectivity, supported smartphone sizes and pricing remain unavailable. More information is expected when the Kickstarter campaign officially begins.

Abxylute M5 Could Be a Slimmer Alternative to the M6

The Abxylute M5 remains less detailed than its larger sibling. Abxylute has not publicly revealed its complete design or specifications. However, the available image suggests that the M5 could have a slimmer profile than the M6.

The two controllers appear to share the same basic concept. Both are designed to attach magnetically to smartphones and provide physical controls for horizontal gaming. This configuration targets mobile games that benefit from traditional controller layouts.

The M6’s sliding mechanism is one of its most distinctive design elements. The control section can slide into position when needed. This could allow the accessory to remain relatively compact when users are carrying it between gaming sessions.

Its symmetrical thumbsticks offer a familiar layout for modern action and adventure games. The D-pad provides additional directional controls, while the ABXY buttons follow a widely recognized arrangement. In-line triggers add further inputs for supported games.

The detachable magnetic grips could also improve the M6’s portability. Users may be able to remove them when transporting the controller. Abxylute has not yet explained how the grips attach or whether they provide additional adjustment options.

The upcoming M5 and M6 will enter a growing market for magnetic smartphone gaming accessories. One competitor is the MCON magnetic controller, which follows a similar compact smartphone-focused concept. Abxylute’s new products will therefore compete for users seeking portable physical controls.

The M4 established Abxylute’s current magnetic controller strategy. The company now appears ready to broaden that strategy with different form factors. The M5 could target users who prioritize portability, while the M6 appears focused on a more substantial controller design.

Important details remain unavailable for both models. Abxylute has not announced their prices, battery capacities or exact launch dates. The company has also not confirmed the full compatibility list for smartphones and other devices.
