ultimateimp – Xiaomi has launched two refreshed 20,000mAh power banks in China with faster charging and stronger battery safety protections. The new models support 45W and 67W output while featuring integrated USB-C cables.
The products are the Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 67W with Built-in Cable and Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 45W with Built-in Cable. Both models expand Xiaomi’s updated power bank lineup in its domestic market.
Xiaomi has been refreshing its portable charger range to comply with China’s latest safety requirements. The company started this effort with a 10,000mAh Pocket Power Bank with Built-in Cable in June. It later introduced a larger 20,000mAh model with 22.5W charging.

The latest models increase charging performance substantially compared with that earlier 20,000mAh version. Xiaomi has raised the maximum output to 67W on one model and 45W on the other. The higher power levels should allow compatible smartphones and tablets to recharge more quickly.
The 67W version can also provide sufficient output for charging certain laptops. However, actual charging speeds depend on the connected device and its supported charging standards. The 45W model offers a lower output while retaining the same 20,000mAh battery capacity.
Both power banks feature an integrated USB-C cable. The cable also doubles as a lanyard, allowing users to carry the power bank more conveniently. Each model also includes USB-C and USB-A ports for additional charging options.
The ports allow the power banks to charge up to three devices simultaneously. This makes them suitable for users carrying multiple smartphones, tablets or other portable electronics. The overall design largely follows Xiaomi’s existing 67W power bank.
New Xiaomi Power Banks Add Stronger Protection Under China’s 2026 Safety Standard
The safety upgrades are linked to China’s updated national standard for portable power banks. The 2026 requirements introduce stricter safety testing for portable chargers. One of the tests involves needle penetration to evaluate battery safety under physical damage.
The stricter testing is intended to reduce risks involving overheating, fires and explosions. Xiaomi has incorporated stronger battery safeguards into the new power banks. These protections are designed to improve safety during demanding usage conditions.
The new products therefore combine performance improvements with regulatory changes. Xiaomi has increased charging output while updating the battery protection systems. This approach continues the company’s broader effort to refresh its portable charging lineup.
The new 67W model also appears to be a refreshed version of Xiaomi’s existing 67W Power Bank 20000 with an integrated cable. That product is already sold internationally. The refreshed version currently remains limited to the Chinese market.
Both new models are now available in China. The Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 67W with Built-in Cable costs 599 yuan. That price is approximately $89 based on the conversion provided.
The Xiaomi Power Bank 20000 45W with Built-in Cable costs 499 yuan. The price is equivalent to approximately $74. Both models therefore offer high-capacity batteries with integrated cables and relatively high charging output.
Xiaomi has not announced international availability for either refreshed power bank. The company also has not provided a timeline for bringing these specific versions to other markets. Their global availability will depend on Xiaomi’s regional product strategy and certification requirements.
The 20,000mAh capacity gives both models enough battery capacity for multiple device charges. Meanwhile, the 45W and 67W outputs improve their usefulness for modern smartphones and tablets. The 67W model is particularly suited to users who also need portable charging for compatible laptops.
