RayCue TimeCapsule G3 Brings the Classic iMac Design Back

The original iMac G3 became one of Apple’s most memorable products thanks to its colorful, semi-transparent enclosure and distinctive all-in-one design. RayCue has recreated that aesthetic in a compact device measuring just 10 x 8.5 x 8.9 centimeters.

The TimeCapsule G3 is offered in two different models.

The entry-level TimeCapsule G3 Classic features a 2.8-inch segmented display and a simple buzzer speaker. It functions primarily as a desktop clock, alarm clock, and information center capable of displaying the current time, weather conditions, indoor temperature, and humidity.

For users looking for additional smart features, RayCue also offers the TimeCapsule G3 Neo. This upgraded version replaces the segmented display with a 2.8-inch IPS screen featuring a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

The Neo model also includes a higher-quality speaker and a built-in microphone. Enabling it to function as a Bluetooth speaker while supporting voice interaction.

Both versions feature internal LED lighting that illuminates the translucent casing, recreating the signature appearance of the original iMac G3. Power is supplied by a rechargeable 1,200mAh 18650 battery that charges via USB-C.

Neo Model Adds AI History Assistant and Bluetooth Audio

The TimeCapsule G3 Neo distinguishes itself with an integrated AI assistant designed to provide more than standard chatbot functionality.

In addition to answering general questions, the assistant focuses on historical information. Allowing users to ask questions such as, “What happened 40 years ago today?” and receive summaries of significant events from that date.

The device also works as a Bluetooth speaker. Allowing users to stream music wirelessly from compatible smartphones, tablets, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

RayCue has launched the TimeCapsule G3 through Kickstarter, offering discounted pricing for early supporters.

The TimeCapsule G3 Classic is available through the Super Early Bird campaign for $49. While its expected retail price will increase to $99 after the crowdfunding promotion ends.

RayCue plans to begin shipping both models worldwide in September 2026. Buyers should note that shipping fees, import taxes, and customs duties are not included in the listed prices.

Although RayCue is an established technology accessory manufacturer. Delivery schedules for crowdfunding projects can change, so supporters should be aware that shipping delays remain possible.

By blending nostalgic industrial design with modern smart features. The TimeCapsule G3 offers Apple enthusiasts and retro technology fans a compact desktop companion that celebrates the legacy of the original iMac while adding practical functionality for everyday use.
