GMK Details New AMD Mini PC With 128GB Memory

ultimateimp – GMKtec has confirmed the global launch date for its latest flagship mini PC, the EVO-X3. The compact desktop will officially reach international markets on June 29, 2026, following an earlier teaser campaign in China.

Ahead of the launch, the company will begin an early access registration program on June 22. Customers who register during the promotion will receive a $20 discount coupon toward their purchase.

Although GMKtec has not announced the final retail price, it has disclosed nearly all of the system’s major hardware specifications. The announcement provides a detailed preview of the premium mini PC before worldwide availability.

The EVO-X3 targets users seeking workstation-level performance in an ultra-compact form factor. It also continues GMKtec’s focus on AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processor family.

At launch, buyers will be able to purchase the system with AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. GMKtec also confirmed that a more powerful Ryzen AI Max+ 495 version will arrive later in 2026.

The Ryzen AI Max+ platform combines powerful CPU performance with advanced integrated graphics and dedicated AI acceleration. This combination allows compact systems to handle demanding productivity and creative workloads.

The EVO-X3 succeeds the EVO-X2, which also features the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. Rather than introducing an entirely new platform, GMKtec has focused on expanding connectivity and improving overall versatility.

GMKtec EVO-X3 Adds OCuLink Expansion and Radeon 8060S Graphics

One of the most significant upgrades over the previous generation is the addition of an OCuLink Gen 4 port. The EVO-X2 lacked this feature, making the new model more flexible for hardware enthusiasts.

OCuLink provides direct PCIe connectivity for compatible expansion devices. Users can connect external graphics solutions or other high-bandwidth accessories with lower latency than traditional USB interfaces.

Even so, many buyers may never need external graphics hardware. GMKtec states that the integrated Radeon 8060S graphics processor delivers performance comparable to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.

That level of graphics capability allows the mini PC to handle modern games, creative applications, and GPU-accelerated workloads without requiring a dedicated graphics card.

The system also includes a 40Gbps USB4 port for high-speed data transfers and external device support. However, GMKtec has chosen not to include the newer USB4 Version 2 standard.

Display connectivity is equally capable. Users can connect two monitors simultaneously through the USB4 interface and the HDMI 2.1 output.

The company has also redesigned the cooling solution to support sustained processor performance. A triple-fan thermal system enables the AMD processor to operate at up to 140 watts of peak power.

Efficient cooling remains essential for compact desktop computers because limited internal space can increase operating temperatures. GMKtec believes the upgraded cooling design will maintain stable performance during demanding workloads.

WiFi 7, 128GB Memory Support and Global Launch Highlight Premium Mini PC

Beyond processing performance, the EVO-X3 offers several premium hardware features. Integrated WiFi 7 provides faster wireless networking with lower latency and improved overall efficiency.

The system supports up to 128GB of memory, allowing users to run demanding software, virtual machines, and artificial intelligence applications with ease.

Storage expansion is equally impressive. GMKtec confirms support for as much as 16TB of PCIe 4.0 solid-state storage, providing substantial capacity for professional projects and large data libraries.

The company has also introduced a refined chassis that combines compact dimensions with a modern appearance. The sleek enclosure allows the desktop to fit comfortably into offices, home workstations, and entertainment setups.

Although the official retail price remains unknown, GMKtec has encouraged potential buyers to register early before sales begin. Early registration opens on June 22 and includes a $20 promotional discount coupon.

The company expects worldwide sales to begin on June 29. Additional information regarding regional availability and pricing is expected closer to launch.

Later this year, GMKtec plans to expand the lineup with a Ryzen AI Max+ 495 variant. That configuration should provide even greater processing performance for users with more demanding workloads.

The EVO-X3 reflects growing demand for compact desktop systems capable of replacing larger traditional computers. Improvements in integrated graphics and AI hardware have allowed mini PCs to handle increasingly complex tasks.

With AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ platform, Radeon 8060S integrated graphics, OCuLink Gen 4 expansion, WiFi 7, support for up to 128GB of memory, and 16TB of PCIe 4.0 storage, the GMKtec EVO-X3 enters the premium mini PC market with a comprehensive feature set. Its global debut later this month will determine how successfully it competes against other high-performance compact desktop solutions.
