Motorola Unveils Triple 50MP Camera Smartphone

ultimateimp – Motorola has officially launched the new Edge 70 Pro in India, adding another premium-focused mid-range device to its growing smartphone lineup. The new model combines a high-refresh AMOLED display, large battery, fast charging, and a trio of 50MP cameras while starting at around $415.

Motorola’s Edge series has built a reputation for blending flagship-inspired design with more accessible pricing, and the Edge 70 Pro follows that strategy closely.

The phone features Motorola’s familiar curved display design, slim profile, and a rounded-square rear camera module. At first glance, the housing appears to include four cameras, though one section is actually reserved for the LED flash.

This design helps give the device a more premium and symmetrical look, something increasingly important in the competitive mid-range market.

Motorola is offering the Edge 70 Pro in three finishes: Lily White, Titan, and Tea. The company says all three carry Pantone certification, continuing its recent partnership focused on color styling.

One of the strongest highlights is the display. The handset uses a large 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a sharp 2772 x 1272 resolution and 450 pixels per inch.

It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate, which should provide very smooth scrolling, gaming responsiveness, and fluid animation throughout the interface.

Brightness levels are especially notable. Motorola claims peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits, with 1,800 nits in high brightness mode. If accurate, that would place the display among the brightest in its segment. For users who spend time outdoors or consume HDR video content, that extra brightness could be a major advantage.

Large 6,500mAh Battery and Strong Camera Hardware

Battery life appears to be another major selling point. Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 Pro with a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery.

This newer battery technology allows higher capacity while helping manage size and weight more efficiently than traditional cells. For many users, this could translate into excellent all-day endurance or even longer.

Charging support is equally competitive. The device includes 90W wired fast charging, helping users refill quickly when needed.

Inside, the Edge 70 Pro uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, described as a new version of the processor family used in other upper mid-range phones.

Motorola pairs this with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which should deliver strong multitasking performance, fast app loading, and improved gaming responsiveness.

Camera hardware is another key focus. The primary rear camera uses a 50MP Sony Lytia 710 sensor with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture.

A second 50MP ultra-wide camera offers a 122-degree field of view and 12mm equivalent focal length, making it useful for landscapes and large group shots.

On the front, Motorola includes a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus, a feature that can improve portraits, video calls, and content creation.

Price and Availability

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro starts at INR 38,999 for the version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. A higher-tier model with 12GB RAM is priced at INR 41,999. Sales in India are scheduled to begin on April 29.

Overall, the Edge 70 Pro looks like a highly aggressive mid-range release. With a premium display, strong battery capacity, fast charging, and versatile 50MP cameras, Motorola is clearly targeting buyers who want flagship-style features without flagship pricing.
