ultimateimp – Minisforum has introduced the M1 Lite, expanding its affordable mini-PC lineup with a compact and versatile model. Measuring just 130 x 126 x 50 mm, the device is designed for users seeking a space-saving desktop solution. It is now available globally, with pricing starting at just over $300.
The M1 Lite follows the earlier release of the M1 Plus in December 2025. While the M1 Plus featured Intel Alder Lake-H processors, the new model adopts Intel’s Meteor Lake-U platform. It is powered by the Core Ultra 5 125U processor, offering a balance between efficiency and performance.
The processor features a 12-core configuration with a 35 W thermal design power in this system. It includes a relatively modest four-core integrated GPU, which limits graphics performance. However, the inclusion of a USB4 port enables support for external GPU expansion.
This capability allows users to enhance graphical performance when needed. It provides flexibility for workloads such as content creation or light gaming. The feature also extends the system’s usability beyond basic computing tasks.
Minisforum has equipped the M1 Lite with dual M.2 2280 slots for storage expansion. It also includes SODIMM slots that support up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 memory. This upgradeability makes the device suitable for a wide range of user requirements.
Compact Design, Quiet Cooling, and Configurable Options Define Global Offering
The M1 Lite uses an active cooling solution designed to maintain low noise levels. The system operates below 45 decibels even under full load. This approach ensures a quieter experience in both home and office environments.
The mini-PC offers multiple configurations to suit different users. The company sells the base model as a barebones unit without storage, memory, or an operating system. It prices this variant at $311 in the United States, allowing users to customize their setup.
The company also provides a preconfigured version with a 512 GB SSD, 16 GB of RAM, and a Windows 11 Pro license. It prices this variant at $615 in the US market. This option targets users who prefer a ready-to-use system without additional setup.
The company sets global pricing based on regional differences. It lists the barebones version at £279 in the United Kingdom and €329 in the Eurozone. It also prices the unit at CAD 426 in Canada, AUD 439 in Australia, JPY 53,599 in Japan, and KRW 535,900 in South Korea.

The M1 Lite positions itself as a competitive option in the compact PC segment. Its combination of small size, upgradeability, and external GPU support enhances its appeal. The device reflects Minisforum’s focus on delivering flexible and accessible computing solutions.
