ultimateimp – Xiaomi has revealed additional details about the Pad 9 Pro Max ahead of its September 7 launch.
The tablet combines a 13.3-inch display with PC connectivity and several productivity-focused software features.
Its display offers a 3.4K resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio for a spacious working area. Xiaomi claims the panel can reach up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness.
The company also claims a Delta E value of approximately 0.47 for accurate color reproduction. Xiaomi says the display is suitable for applications commonly associated with personal computers.
The Pad 9 Pro Max will be powered by Xiaomi’s Xring O3 flagship processor. According to Xiaomi, the tablet achieves an AnTuTu V11 score of 5.25 million.
The company also claims multi-core CPU and GPU performance comparable to tablets using Apple’s M5 processor. A full-featured USB Type-C connection allows the tablet to connect directly to computers.
Users can operate the Pad 9 Pro Max as a secondary display for a connected computer. This allows users to work with PC documents while displaying additional content on the tablet.
The same connection supports gaming handhelds through DisplayPort 1.2 or higher. Compatible handheld consoles can therefore use the tablet as a larger external gaming display.
Xiaomi also supports professional accessories including the Focus Stylus Pro and TourBox. The two accessories can operate simultaneously, enabling users to control them with both hands.
This setup could benefit creative professionals who need precise input and additional control options.
HyperOS 4 Enables Six-Way Multitasking and Desktop-Style Features
The Pad 9 Pro Max will run HyperOS 4 with several new productivity improvements. Xiaomi has upgraded file and document management to make the tablet more suitable for professional tasks.
The file system can track the sources of individual files for improved organization. The document reader also supports handwritten annotations and special font imports.
Users can additionally access advanced printing features through the updated document system. The browser receives a more PC-like interface designed for larger displays.
Its new features include web translation, third-party AI plugins, vertical tabs, and tab grouping. Xiaomi says it has optimized the browser for the 500 most frequently visited websites.
Xiaomi Notes also gains several new capabilities with the Pad 9 Pro Max. The application can create mind maps with a single click for faster organization of information.

It also supports voice shorthand alongside audio and image imports. Multitasking supports two, three, or six applications simultaneously.
The available configuration depends on the selected split-screen layout. The tablet will also use LPDDR6 memory for increased memory bandwidth.
Xiaomi claims the newer memory technology delivers a 48% increase in memory bandwidth. The Pad 9 Pro Max has been shown in a Rich Wine Red finish with a metal unibody construction.
A matching floating keyboard will also be available for users seeking a more laptop-like experience.
Xiaomi will launch the Pad 9 Pro Max on September 7 at 7 PM Beijing time. The launch is scheduled for 11 AM UTC on the same day. The company has not yet announced pricing or confirmed international availability.
