Motorola Expands Moto Tag 2 Sales to U.S.

ultimateimp – Motorola has officially launched the Moto Tag 2 in the United States. Expanding the availability of its latest smart tracker after previous releases in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The new Moto Tag 2 is now available for purchase through Motorola’s official online store and Amazon. As part of its launch promotion, the tracker is priced at $19.99. Although the price will increase to its standard retail price of $29.99 once the introductory offer ends.

Motorola is also offering a four-pack bundle for $69.99, providing better value for users who want to track multiple items.

The Moto Tag 2 supports Android devices running Android 9 or newer. Making it compatible with the vast majority of modern Android smartphones and tablets.

First unveiled during CES 2026, the Moto Tag 2 succeeds the original Moto Tag with upgraded connectivity, more accurate positioning technology, and improved privacy protections.

Using Google’s crowdsourced device network, users can locate lost belongings even when the tracker is outside Bluetooth range. Provided nearby Android devices are connected to Find Hub.

Bluetooth 6.0 and Ultra-Wideband Deliver More Accurate Tracking

One of the biggest upgrades introduced with the Moto Tag 2 is support for Bluetooth 6.0 with Channel Sounding technology.

Combined with Ultra-Wideband (UWB), the tracker offers significantly more precise location tracking than previous Bluetooth-only models.

The addition of UWB allows compatible Android smartphones to display directional guidance and more accurately pinpoint nearby items such as keys, wallets, luggage, backpacks, or other personal belongings.

Motorola offers the Moto Tag 2 in two color options: Pantone Arabesque and Pantone Laurel Oak.

Durability has also been improved with an IP68 certification. The tracker is protected against dust ingress and can survive immersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water under appropriate conditions.

Privacy remains a key focus for Motorola. The Moto Tag 2 includes end-to-end encryption to protect location information transmitted across Google’s Find Hub network.

It also supports unwanted tracking alerts, helping notify users if an unknown tracker appears to be following them without permission.

These features help address many of the privacy concerns associated with Bluetooth tracking devices.

U.S. Introductory Price Undercuts European Launch

Motorola has introduced the Moto Tag 2 in the United States at a noticeably lower promotional price than in several international markets.

The temporary launch price of $19.99 is substantially cheaper than the tracker’s debut pricing across Europe.

When the Moto Tag 2 launched in the United Kingdom, it carried a retail price of £29.99. In countries including Germany, France, and Finland, the tracker debuted at approximately €40.

The aggressive U.S. pricing makes the Moto Tag 2 one of the more affordable Ultra-Wideband tracking accessories currently available for Android users.

Once the introductory promotion ends, the single tracker will return to its standard retail price of $29.99.

Customers who need multiple trackers can purchase the four-pack bundle for $69.99, reducing the average cost per device.

With Bluetooth 6.0, Ultra-Wideband support, Google’s Find Hub integration, IP68 durability, end-to-end encryption, and privacy-focused tracking alerts, the Motorola Moto Tag 2 offers Android users a compelling alternative to Apple’s AirTag while launching at an attractive introductory price in the United States.
