The Electric Scooter 5 Plus features 12-inch tubeless tires, compared to the 10-inch tires on other models. These larger tires provide more stability and smoother rides on various road surfaces. Xiaomi has not disclosed the exact measurements of the deck and handlebar but highlights the increased comfort and control for riders.

Equipped with a 900W maximum power motor, the scooter can reach speeds of up to 25 kph (16 mph) and offers a range of around 60 km (37 miles). It can handle inclines of up to 20%, making it suitable for urban environments with varying terrain. Xiaomi supports the scooter with three riding modes and allows riders to monitor journey information through the Xiaomi Home app.

The scooter features a dual-spring shock absorber at the front, a traction control system (TCS), and dual braking technology. Xiaomi constructs the body from carbon steel, ensuring durability while keeping it foldable for easy transport and storage. For safety, it equips the scooter with front and rear lights to improve visibility during night rides. Regulatory databases like the TDRA and Germany’s Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) previously listed this model, signaling its upcoming global availability.

Pricing and European Launch Plans for the Electric Scooter 5 Plus

Xiaomi has priced the Electric Scooter 5 Plus at PHP 30,999 (approximately £402 or €466) in the Philippines. Based on this figure, experts estimate the European retail price to be between £449.99 (€549.99) and £499.99 (€599.99). This positions the scooter competitively in the mid-range electric scooter market.
