ultimateimp – Nvidia is reportedly preparing a refresh of its GeForce RTX 50 series with a new Super lineup expected to launch in Q4 2025. This move marks a notable shift, as Nvidia rarely refreshes GPUs within the same generation so soon. According to a new leak from Red Gaming Tech. Nvidia aims to provide more memory while retaining the original MSRPs of the current RTX 50 series.

Previously, sources suggested the Super series might not arrive until early 2026. However, new reports indicate Nvidia is advancing its timeline, likely due to rising competition and existing inventory challenges. Red Gaming Tech also notes that Nvidia faces stock build-up with current SKUs like the RTX 5070. Which has drawn criticism for being memory-constrained.
Leaked pricing suggests the GeForce RTX 5070 Super will cost $549. Identical to its base version, but offer 50% more VRAM—18 GB versus the original 12 GB. The GPU will also feature 2 additional Streaming Multiprocessors and a slight boost in CUDA cores, from 6,144 to 6,400.
RTX 5070 Ti Super and 5080 Super Also Expected with Significant Upgrades
In addition to the 5070 Super, Nvidia is expected to launch the RTX 5070 Ti Super at $749. While it retains the same core count and SM configuration as the base 5070 Ti, this model will offer 24 GB of VRAM running at 30 Gbps. Its Total Graphics Power (TGP) will also increase by 50 W, enhancing performance at higher loads.
The RTX 5080 Super is another high-end entry in the refreshed lineup, although it, too, maintains the same SM and CUDA configuration as the existing RTX 5080. Nvidia plans to set it apart with 24 GB of GDDR7 VRAM running at 32 Gbps, as well as a 15% TGP increase, bringing it to 415 W. These memory and power improvements may boost real-world performance in demanding workloads, even without architectural changes.
