Honor Claims Record With 4.8mm MagicPad 4 Tablet

ultimateimp – Honor has previewed its upcoming MagicPad 4 tablet ahead of a full announcement at Mobile World Conference. The company describes the device as the world’s thinnest Android tablet.

The MagicPad 4 measures only 4.8 millimeters thick, excluding the camera bump. This design makes it significantly slimmer than the previous MagicPad 3.

Honor said the new model is about one millimeter thinner than its predecessor. The tablet is also slimmer than several competing flagship tablets.

For comparison, Apple’s iPad Pro measures around 5.1 millimeters thick. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 is also slightly thicker than Honor’s new device.

The design highlights Honor’s effort to build lighter and more portable tablets. Manufacturers increasingly focus on thin devices to improve everyday usability.

The MagicPad 4 will receive a full reveal during the company’s presentation at Mobile World Conference. The technology event gathers major smartphone and electronics brands each year.

Honor has used early teasers to generate interest ahead of the official announcement. The company previously revealed another unusual project during the event.

A prototype robot was shown during an earlier preview. That demonstration added attention to Honor’s upcoming announcements at the conference.

Further information about the MagicPad 4 will likely be shared during the press conference scheduled for Sunday.

MagicPad 4 Features 165Hz OLED Display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

Honor confirmed that the MagicPad 4 features a new 12.3-inch OLED display. The screen supports a refresh rate of up to 165Hz.

Although the display is slightly smaller than the previous model, it represents a significant upgrade. The earlier MagicPad used an LCD panel instead of OLED.

OLED technology usually offers deeper contrast and richer color reproduction. These improvements can enhance media consumption and gaming performance.

The tablet weighs about 450 grams, which is 145 grams lighter than the earlier version. The lighter design partly results from the updated display panel.

Honor also adjusted the battery capacity slightly to fit the thinner body. The MagicPad 4 includes a 10,100 milliamp-hour battery.

Despite the slimmer design, the tablet supports 66-watt fast charging. Honor includes the fast charger inside the retail box.

The device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. This processor is designed for high-end mobile performance and efficiency.

Users can configure the tablet with up to 16 gigabytes of RAM. Storage options will reach up to 512 gigabytes.

Honor also equipped the tablet with a 13-megapixel rear camera. A 9-megapixel front camera supports video calls and selfies.

The device includes an eight-speaker system designed for spatial audio playback. Multi-speaker setups aim to improve sound immersion during media use.

Software on the tablet will run MagicOS 10, Honor’s customized interface based on Android 16. The operating system includes features tailored for larger displays.

Honor has not yet announced the official price or release date. More details are expected during the company’s press conference at Mobile World Conference.
